Now that we are squarely in January and looking forward to seeing what this new year has to bring, we can't help but notice all the incredible new furniture lines and accessories that have flooded the market. Whether you are just looking to add a splash of this year's "it" color or want to revamp your entire room, you've come to the right place for ideas and design help.

And with so many incredible interior designers at our finger tips who have that uncannily ability to spot the latest trends in home decor, we decided to go to the top of the list and ask our own Head of Design, Ashley Redmond, to give us her thoughts and some inspiration on what's hot and trending in 2017.

MARBLE EVERYWHERE

I love the organic look of marble and we're seeing it everywhere from trays, to lamps, to wallpaper, to laptop covers. It's one of the biggest design trends out there. If you can't pull off buying your own slab, then try one of these more accessible versions as a way to add a touch of marble to your space.

GREEN WITH ENVY

Green is vibrant and carries with it an organic vibe as well as strong meaning and purpose. It's a dominant color in nature that we associate with meanings of growth, harmony and freshness. Green looks great when paired with other jewel tones as well as gold and black elements.

LUSH VELVET

Who doesn't love velvet? It's soft, glamorous and adds a subtle textural interest to a room. We're seeing it used on both sofas and chairs in muted colors like dusty rose as well as rich colors like navy and emerald green. Of course, velvet is not only luxurious but practical and easier to maintain than a linen or tweed fabric.

DRAMATIC FLORAL PRINTS

One of my favorite emerging trend is oversized floral prints that we're seeing on wallpaper and on fabrics. These aren't grandma's floral prints. Think large-scale patterns, vibrant blooms and big, bold hues. It's whimsical but with dark palettes it can be moody as well.

BLACK HARDWARE

Another trend I've been seeing recently from one of my favorite designers, Amber Lewis, is black hardware and fixtures. Of course, we still love gold fixtures but black counter tops and black hardware paired with light cabinetry can give a kitchen or bath a clean, fresh mix of modern and boho.
